Haven Bay delighted to win at the Nursing Homes Ireland Care Awards

Residents, relatives and staff at Haven Bay Care Centre are celebrating today after receiving two awards at the Nursing Homes Ireland Care Awards.

Best Community Initiative Award in Ireland was won by Deirdre Mullins.  Kinsale has become a Positive Ageing Town as a result of Deirdre's work and links within the community.  A wide range of events including concerts, outings, treatments and entertainment were enjoyed by people ageing positively in Kinsale.

The second award is for Best Catering and Nutrition in Ireland.  Head Chef  Emanuele Ferri said he believes that his team "is challenging itself to reach the ultimate goal of creating a unique dining experience for their Residents and set new standards in the care catering sector." This is the second consecutive year for Haven Bay Care Centre's catering team to achieve this award.

Owen O'Brien, proprietor said "We are thrilled to have received these two awards. It is a fantastic achievement for Haven Bay Care Centre.  I would like to congratulate the winners and all those who supported them.  We continue to strive to achieve excellence in our care centre."

The awards were presented by Marty Whelan to winners at a gala dinner in City West Hotel, Dublin. The NHI Care Awards are designed to recognise and reward the contributions made by those living and working in nursing homes nationwide.

Haven Bay Care Centre look forward to recognising these awards with our Residents and friends.
