The purpose of providing meaningful social and recreational activities for our Residents is to provide stimulation, involvement, participation and fun.

It is very important here at Haven Bay that we meet the individual needs of each of our residents as this allows us to strive towards a more person centered approach in all aspects of care.

We start by asking each resident and their family to complete a ‘Life Story’ allowing us to learn more about the person’s life and interests before they came to Haven Bay.

This allows us to better plan for the activities they may enjoy. There are a number of activities on offer each day. Residents as always have a choice in whether they wish to attend any or some of these recreational pursuits.

Mass is celebrated in Haven Bay regularly by our local priests.

We regularly avail of Pet Therapy such as visiting dogs. Ursa, a trained a guide dog, is one of the frequent visitors in Haven Bay. Ursa loves a cuddle and as a social creature, responds very well to people.
