Yvonne McCarthy won the NHI Director of Nursing / Person in Charge Award in City West Dublin last Thursday. The Nursing Homes Ireland Care Awards are the premier national celebration of the outstanding care being provided by nursing homes in communities across Ireland.

Yvonne was nominated by her colleagues for her outstanding work in Care of the Older Person. The Award recognises her hard work, dedication and inspirational leadership which has changed the lives of those in her care and the team she works with. The judging committee led by Professor Amanda Neary who selected Yvonne from a large number of entries from nursing homes across the country
